04/23/2006 - Forum International Software Livre - FISL 7.0
Great, beautiful, wonderful! :D| The big Free Software party called Forum International Software Livre (FISL) happened from April 19th to 22nd, 2006 in Porto Alegre/RS, Brazil. Fisl 7.0 has 6 auditoriums, registration structure, ticket window, storage locker, press room, VIP and meeting rooms, training and business schedule, and a good dining area run by the most renowed food companies. The event grew 20% reaching 5.339 people from 24 countries including Brazil, Uruguay, United States, Canada and Argentina. 275 lecture sessions had been realized, with the participation of 445 talkers as Richard Stallman (FSF), Sérgio Amadeu, Miguel de Icaza (Mono/Gnome), Marcelo Tosatti (Kernel 2.4), Tim Boudreau (Netbeans), Jim Gettys (X11) and others. |

Founded in March 19, 2003, JavaFree is a brazilian on-line community, without lucrative purpose, that joins java developers and open source enthusiastics. Today, with more than 12.000 registered users, JavaFree is one of the biggest communities of Brazil. At our portal we have tutorials, articles and interviews, news, job offers and a big forum with more than 90.000 posts. |

M3GE The Mobile 3D Game Engine is a java game engine based on Mobile 3D Graphics API for JME spec (M3G - JSR 184). Game engines are the core component of a game. It's a development library that handles graphical rendering, manager the game, the images, input, output, and general functions like AI, collision detection and other rendering facilities. The objective is implement all global functions existing on a game in a single core block, separating graphical routines and game logic. Putting all together the developer only worries with your game. |
Priki |
Priki is the Prevalent Wiki, a wiki wiki web engine made with Velocity, WebWork, JavaCC and others frameworks. The project is to be released in a few days. |

JavaFreeCMS is a small and very fast Wiki based Content Management System (CMS) made to JavaFree community using Prevayler 3, Velocity, WebWork and DWR, an AJAX framework. JavaFreeCMS features are: news, job offers, "closed content", and wiki content. This project is based in Priki, the prevalent wiki. |

RSS Notifier is a small application that works from the System Tray just like Gmail Notifier does. It reads a list of RSS Feeds and shows the news in small windows. It aims to give the user real time news, based on news published using RSS files. RSS Notifier requires Java 5 Runtime Environment installed on a Microsoft Windows operating system |

The main project goal of Snail is to create a JDBC driver for Prevayler, like a Relational/Object Bridge, providing a transparent way to persist relational data model against object database. Today it is parsing selects, inserts, deletes, create tables, drop tables and create/update/drop users. |
