JavaOne here I come!

Received an email today that started with:

Congratulations! Your “Birds of a Feather“ submission BOF-2946 entitled “ Trails In Depth “ was so compelling that the JavaOne Program Committee has decided to accept your proposal…

Woo hoo! What‘s kind of interesting is that I proposed two sessions, my basic “Rad that ain‘t bad” session that introduces Trails and this more in depth session. I figured the first was a shoe in and just added the other for good measure. It was a surprise to me that they rejected the first one and kept this one. I wonder what would have happened if I had only pitched one session?

Well, in any event this is huge for me personally and great for Trails. See you all at JavaOne!

If trails was based on JSF, Facelets, Spring and Hibernate, you would have got both sessions (I am guessing).

Have you checked out Facelets yet?

Holy smokes is it cool.

I like Facelets a lot from what I've seen. If it had been in existence when I started Trails I might have used it, who knows. I can say that at this point with Facelets JSF looks like it has matured to the point where a Facelets/JSF version of Trails might be doable. Now if I could just manufacture 24 more hours each day in which to do it... ;)
